The Musée de l'Armée is the site of Napoleon's tomb. For such a small man, he's made quite the show of being entombed. His body lies within three (yes, three) caskets in a building 101 meters long. There are tombs of other military-associated people there, but none with a shrine so lavish. Others include Fauche (a commander) and Lyautey (a general).
Napoleon was exiled twice from France; the first time, he managed to escape the small island of Elba and return to power. His second exile landed him in Saint Helena, where he eventually died. His body was returned to France in 1840 for burial, under the rule of King Louis Philippe.
